WhooHoo! I’m sure most people notice that I’m a HUGE Doors fan. Well this is a great day to be one. The Doors’ keyboardist Ray Manzarek, 68, and guitarist Robby Krieger, 61, showed up minus drummer John Densmore for the dedication of the walk’s 2,325th star.

This band is just great. The music is like no other in my opinion. Their mix of instruments and the dark feel of it is just revolutionary for their time and it has transcended generations.

“Jim always used to say: The West is the best!” Krieger said. “It has been an incredible 40 years, and now I’m back with Ray and we’re still playing, and you know, it may never end.”

Still a great show with out Jim around if you get a chance to catch them Live. They aren’t allowed to call themselves the Doors anymore, but anyone that is a fan isn’t going to call them any different. Even though Jim is the man everyo0ne remembers the real fans still love Ray, Robby, and John and give them credit for the unique sound.

I guess i can agree with this. The movie was great though I felt like I wanted more when i was finished watching it. Doesn’t mean it didn’t deserve the Best Picture Award. I suppose I was left to fill in the blanks at the end of the movie more than anything wanting to see what else happened. The calling card of a “good” movie I suppose.

Browsing around the web today I have seen quite a few reports that people are whining aobut Prince using his guitar to symbolize his member during the Super Bowl Haltime Show. Who cares. Prince was freakin’ awesome during the halftime show. Might be the first timeI actually watched the halftime show for a Super Bowl. Ever. I wasn’t really planning on watching it, but when i saw that Prince was on stage i stopped and just watched. This guy is a legend and that was probably the best performance I have seen during any sporting event.

I seriously feel sorry for people that have a coronary about things such as this. At least they give me something to laugh at I suppose.

PUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. – A new pair of hands pulled Punxsutawney Phil from his stump this year, so it was only fitting that the groundhog offered a new prediction.

Phil did not see his shadow on Friday, which, according to German folklore, means folks can expect an early spring instead of six more weeks of winter.
