Braveheart praised for progress in alcohol rehab
Mel Gibson jokes were so widespread after his drunken, Anit-semetic outburst that it seemed like it was one of the standard punchlines at every comedy show I watched. Those are some of the jokes that you immediately look at the comedian and just shake your head. Terrible material and just not funny. Puts me into Holden Caufield mode when I watch these shows and see the morons in the crowd laughing like the comedian just made a classic funny. If you never read Catcher in the Rye you really won’t know what I mean, but if you have then you know exactly what I mean.
Anyways…Gibson has gotten himself the approval of his judge:
“I truly believe the rehabilitation (in) this case is effective, and I don’t want to do anything to interrupt that,” said Malibu Superior Court Judge Lawrence J. Mira, explaining why the actor was not asked to appear for Friday’s progress hearing.
“I know his extensive participation in a self-help program — and I should note he has done extensive work, beyond which was required,” Mira added.
He has to appear once more for a final progress report. Meh…
