Oprah ‘stunned’ to learn dad writing a book
What are we going to do with parents these days? Doesn’t Oprah take care of her old man? She has millions, if not billions of dollars. The old guy want to give her a bad name? Start some family squabbles? IF my kid owned half the mid-west I think I’d be out fishing and golfing instead of writing a book. Either that or having a nice harem for my fun.
“I was upset. I won’t say devastated, but I was stunned,” Winfrey told New York’s Daily News in a story published Tuesday.
Winfrey said she laughed when one of her assistants told her the newspaper was calling to ask about a book her father Vernon Winfrey was writing. read more…

Oprah has said several times that the first thing she did when she made it famous was buy her parents a house, but I don’t know if that was her dad or mom or both. Very sad. Jennifer Aniston still doesn’t talk to her Mom because of the book her mom wrote about her.
