Poor little Paris. Apparently she thought she was above the law. I did too. Didn’t realize that drinking and driving, and then driving on a suspended license was that big a deal. Maybe not in her world, but in most of ours it will kick your ass to get busted for those 2 things in the same year. Fans were great to her though as always. Kind words were given and probably some fancy Peach cobbler recipes and other well wishes. Wonder if anyone sent her a file in a cake…ha!

“I’ve been through a lot,” said Hilton, her blond hair cascading across her forehead. “And it was a pretty traumatic experience, something that I really have grown from.”

Paris said she got hundreds of letter from “fans” that at times reduced her to tears.

Asked why she was going public about her experience, she told King, “I just want to let people know what I went through.” It was her first broadcast interview since being released.

“I was walking in there assuming I was just going to get community service,” Hilton said. “That’s what my lawyer said at the time. So when he sentenced me to that much time in jail it was shocking because that doesn’t happen, ever.

“It wasn’t for DUI, it was for suspended license,” she said of her case.

Asked whether she thought she got a “raw deal,” she said yes. Still, she vowed never to drink and drive again.

“I’ll never make that mistake again,” she said.

Raw deal? Get over yourself, Paris.

Getting credit cards seems to be one of the easiest things you can do in this day and age. I probably get 2 to 3 invites to apply for a card daily in the mail and am always “pre-approved”. Back in college I was able to get approved for over $10,000 in credit with NO job! It was unreal at the ease of which I could get credit. Back then I didn’t really bother to compare credit cards at all. I had no idea that there were better ones than what I was being offered. Not comparing what was available probably cost me a lot of extra money, and it certainly got me into a bit of financial difficulty considering I was getting cards with rates that were ridiculously high. Besides the not knowing to compare cards for better rates I most certainly ost out on great deals such as cash back credit cards. Live and learn I guess.

The city prosecutor who condemned Paris Hilton’s early release from jail as celebrity favoritism is now under fire for a case of special treatment closer to home — acknowledging his wife was wanted for arrest for nine years.

The disclosure, first reported by the Los Angeles Times on Wednesday, is the latest in a mushrooming scandal that has engulfed City Attorney Rocky Delgadillo, who ran for California attorney general last year but lost. full story

Britney is trying to make a comeback. Why do you have to make her look bad? Whatever. I guess a billboard for radio station WFLZ in Florida was running a promo that featured Britney with her shaved head. Along the top of each picture run the logos: “Total nut jobs,” “Shock Therapy” and “Certifiable.” The billboard, not one of the Architectural Classics has caused Britney and her lawyers to contact Clear Channel and have the images removed.

The billboards featured three identical pictures of Spears, apparently snarling, next to radio station WFLZ’s logo and a picture of talk show host Todd Schnitt.

“Clear Channel was already exposed to substantial liability for its offensive, unauthorized commercial exploitation of my client’s photograph on the billboards,” the letter said.

“Once again, we demand the immediate removal of the billboards, confirmed by documentary evidence and verified under penalty of perjury,” it said.

Schnitt said in an interview Clear Channel had already pulled down the billboards. “I’m not happy with that,” he said.

I remember back when I was in college and I lost a roommate in the middle of my occupation of an apartment. At the time there wasn’t an easy way to find a person to sublet my place so that I could get out of the deal. Everything OJ does now is just laughing in the face of everyone. The guy writes a book, then finds out that he will have to pay some money to the family of the people he killed, so he stops publication. Now he tries to hide it and keep them from getting any of the money they are owed. Maybe next he can start doing digital camera reviews for cash so that he can hide it in a coffee can in his yard and just say that he was doing it for free to “get his name out there” and get some publicity. This guy is a disgrace.

A federal bankruptcy judge ordered O.J. Simpson’s daughter Tuesday to give a deposition by week’s end in a lawsuit about the former football star’s canceled book, “If I Did It.”

A judge already ordered the bankrupt company owned by Simpson’s children to turn over any copies of the book in which the former NFL star explains how he might have committed the killings of ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman.

Simpson, who has maintained his innocence, was acquitted in 1995 of criminal charges in the deaths. more

Stephen King is the undisputed King of Horror and for good reason. His books are so many that you can give him the honor just for sheer numbers of collected works, but we all know that his stories are truly remarkable. Carrie, The Stand, and The Shining to name a few are some of the best horror classics of all time. The Shining is probably one of my Top 5 horror films I’ve ever watched. Probably #2 behind my favorite, The Exorcist.

Even though he has more books than Britney’s got future rehab stints, you can always count on a unique story when he publishes a novel, or short story. They all aren’t “epic”, but they are all very entertaining, and written in a way like no one else can.

Coming on June 22, 2007 in theaters, is an adaption of another of his short stories, 1048. The 1408 Movie is a story about a hotel room where “Roaches check in, but they don’t check out.” Starring John Cusak and the legendary Samuel L. Jackson, the 1408 Movie takes a look at the scariest hotel room of all time. Cusak, is a skeptical man of science and will try and see if the room really is what the legends say. After checking in and having a stay he has to change the way he thinks entirely. Surely, another supernatural thriller from the King.

Britney Spears vacationing in Puerto Vallarta this weekend looked happy as she flashed her celluloid butt at photographers. Just a recent excursion after Spears completed a month long stay at a luxury Malibu, Calif., rehabilitation treatment facility in in March. She then appeared on stage out of nowhere when Britney took the stage in San Diego for a concert for the first time in nearly 3 years.

Apparently, other photos on the Internet have appeared to reveal Spears out partying while wearing nothing underneath her short skirts. Other photos have shown her battling weight gain. Never thought she was all that anyways, but these photos certainly don’t change my opinion in any way. Good luck, Britney. You are going to need it.
