Are “American Gladiators” on Roids?

Seriously…AOL is asking this question right now in their article here. First there was baseball, and now there is the American Gladiators.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with this show, it is a re-hash of a show that was made about a decade or so ago. There are a bunch of beefed up athletes that compete in ridiculous events every week and they have some sort of contestants who are there to try and beat them. The Gladiators are trying to beat down the contestants in hopes that they won’t win. Totally awesome…lol

Broadcasting & Cable reports that the cast members, whose on-screen names range from Mayhem and Crush to Militia and Stealth, have agreed to be tested any time during the run of the show.

‘Gladiators’ two-hour premiere last week drew 12 million viewers, good enough to be NBC’s highest-rated premiere for a new show since “Heroes” in September 2006.

A report in the NY Post tells us that ‘GLADIATORS’ TESTED FOR ‘ROIDS. NBC has been testing the 12 cast members of “American Gladiators” for performance-enhancing drugs, according to a report today in the authoritative trade magazine Broadcasting & Cable.

You won’t be buying any of these women diamond pendants anytime soon if you were wondering. They are not attractive. I guess they are sort of hot, if you like that whole S&M thing with women that can kick your ass in the bedroom with you.
