Talk Like a Pirate Day! September 19th
Talk about a silly concept argghhhh.
I guess some matey (yeah..that’s enough of that facade) did well enough marketing this idea that they have gotten it to be officially called “International Pirate Day”, or “Official Talk Like a Pirate Day”. Either that or got enough people drunk together to spread the word.
It appears that this is the self-proclaimed official site of “Talk Like a Pirate Day”. They have even given you tips on How to talk like a pirate, also in German! They tell you why, the history, if there really is one, and share the pirate party plans.
While this is just some lighthearted fun, it seems as if this has become pretty well known over the last few years. At least i tend to hear about it year after year now. Maybe the Facebook Pirate Ap with ads for apidexin all over it has a lot to do with it
