Joaquin Phoenix Apologizes on Letterman For Documentary Lies

Two people I care almost nothing about got together this evening to discus some project Phoenix was involved in where he lied about trying to become a rapper in a documentary.

Apparently people thought he had gone off the deep end and was losing it and needing some acne body wash. Frankly, I don’t know who the hell this guy is, other than maybe hearing a vague mention of his name at some point. I wouldn’t know him if you showed me a picture.

“I mean, I think that you’ve interviewed many, many people and I assumed that you would know the difference between a character and a real person,” he says about the now-infamous 2009 interview, in which a gum-chomping, mumbling Phoenix barely answered Letterman’s questions. “I hope I didn’t offend you in any way.”

The appearance turned out to be an act. Director Casey Affleck recently revealed Phoenix’s supposed documentary, I’m Still Here, which followed the actor during that strange time, isn’t real.

“Oh, no. Oh, no, no, no,” Letterman told him. “I’m telling you, it was so much fun. It was batting practice, you know what I mean? Every one of them was a dinger.”

Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez Announced As Idol Judges

This show is still on? They need judges for it still? I thought they had just gone to showing a series of joke auditions and outtakes every week. They actually still have the contest and a winner? Amazing. I wasn’t aware of this.

Anyways, apparently the new judges to join this horrible show will be Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, and Jennifer Lopez of…ummm…having a nice butt? So that leaves them and Randy Jackson the only original judge still around.

It is a testament to how much this show gets talked about that I know this information without having EVER watched a single episode. I’d rather watch videos on how to remove pimples than subject myself to this.

David Beckham Denies Having Affair With $10K a Night Hooker

Some magazine printed a story that Beckham was cheating on his wife with a $10K a night hooker. Let’s just look at that allegation logically before anything. We’ll break it down and show how silly it really is.

First of all, let’s say he DID actually buy a $10K a night hooker. What kind of service is this that they get him caught in the first place? If someone is charging $10K a night the #1 priority would obviously be privacy right? Of course it would.

Second, let’s say he DID pay for this service. This is someone that Makes $10K a day here. This isn’t someone that just happens to do this as a last resort. This is a PRO. They aren’t trying to “get out of it”. What benefit are they going to get from outing the guy in the first place? Blackmail? Why would anyone fess up to this based on point #1? Blackmail has almost no chance here for her. What does she need a few bucks for eye wrinkle cream reviews she read? Get real.
