I don’t listen to Lady Gaga at all. Sure I HEAR her music because it is everywhere, but I don’t consider myself a fan. Pop music just isn’t my main genre so I don’t really get into it. I still find her to be a top notch sideshow though, and admire her ability to not only market, but her creation as well. Not just her wearing of ridiculous clothes together like equestrian boots and a tut or something weird, but everything is crazy.Her own creation, and not a studio cookie cutter pop tart like Britney, or one of those annoying boy bands.

Her marketing ability I have always been fond of. Her sale of her new album “Born This Way” for one day on Amazon.com at 99 cents is a great plan. Not only will it likely push her album sales in the first week over 1 million copies, it brings all kinds of publicity. Not only does the price set it, but Amazon’s servers were flooded with the sale and couldn’t handle the traffic. Even more news to get awareness out.

The one day 99 cent sale ended up processing over 330,000 copies on Amazon that day alone so she got over a third of the way there in one day. In fact because of the technical issues Amazon priced it at 99 cents 3 days later for those that missed out and expected to show at least another 150,000 purchases to put her halfway there on Amazon alone. Talk about a cheater’s way to the top of the Billboard charts eh?

Kind of tuned my mind out for a couple months anytime I heard “Charlie Sheen”, or “Two and a Half Men” for obvious reasons. It was just so asinine. Today though I overheard that Ashton Kutcher was replacing Sheen and like most probably did I laughed.

Funny thing is, I have only seen about 2 episodes of this show anyways so I have no idea if Kutcher would actually be good, or not on the show. All I ever think of him is Kelso, or some model doing stuff like blackhead remover ads.

This show is one of the most watched around the country, yet every time someone says something about it to me they claim it is the worst show on TV. That t is too low brow and for idiots. I wonder how I just happened to run into the 10% of people that aren’t idiots in the country.

While I did enjoy ‘The Hangover’, I didn’t find it nearly as funny, or entertaining as the critics seemed to. I guess I am finding a lot of the recent comedies rather shallow lately, and not as clever as I used to. Of course I don’t get drunk, or stoned before I watch them anymore either so that plays a significant role in it.

Still, these comedies while better than most of the day aren’t exactly on the level of say something like Office Space, or even Wedding Crashers for that matter IMO. They are made as the big summer comedies, but just don’t offer a level of continuous comedy I want from these college humor movies. They play in a day of overrating anything that is somewhat good, and why not? It’s not like we are given high quality comedy on a regular basis anymore are we? Find more humor in free online dating profiles.

As for The hangover 2, I really wasn’t looking forward to it as much as most so critics panning it doesn’t really surprise me. If they used the same formula as before, or the same weak comedy routines in a recycling effort I am pretty sure my laughs wouldn’t be all that frequent. I expected to watch this on video, and the critics seem to give me no reason to think otherwise.

Times critic Betsy Sharkey, accusing the film of existing purely as a crass cash-grab without any good comedy to justify itself. She writes, “Me, I’m left with morning-after regrets. Lost is the fresh, perverse, painfully politically incorrect R-rated pleasure that came when ‘The Hangover’ ate up the summer of 2009.”

Manohla Dargis of the New York Times qualifies my positions quite well: “If you superimposed a diagram that mapped out all the narrative beats, characters and jokes in ‘The Hangover Part II’ over one for ‘The Hangover,’ the two would align almost perfectly.”

Alright…I’m not going to BS you. I have followed the Rebecca Black story from the beginning, and find it fascinating. I still look in on her Youtube video every week, or so to see how many views and comments have been racked up since I last looked. I believe when I looked the other day it was well over 1.3 million views, but i was once again disappointed to find out that they had turned comments off once again. Of course the death threats were a little high I suppose so we can forgive them…somewhat.

Today she announced on her Twitter page that she is not pregnant. Thanks Rebecca. I was really worried about your career! Glad you weren’t cuddling up with some 30 year-old pedo rapper by your outdoor fireplaces and getting pregnant.

In recent years it seems like every new show that came out during the past television season ends up on the chopping block. I have never looked into it, but I have to guess that much fewer than 25% of these shows gets renewed. Even those that do seem to be getting gutted in their 2nd season. You don’t need an online it degree to figure this out.

For me, I learned a few years ago that I will not invest in anything during its first season. Only a couple times in the last few years have I done so. Chuck I watched, Walking Dead last year, and I started The Event which sucks, and “V” since I remember the original.

Instead I wait a couple years, and in some cases I just wait until the final season is announced and then just marathon the entire show over the summer so I can watch the final season live and discuss with other fans if the first season is worth it. Other times when I hear about a show and start in the middle I continue to watch if the show is high quality, but am usually careful that it is one that I think will have an actual conclusion.

This year I was quite worried that Fringe wouldn’t get renewed, but against all logic, Fox went a head and gave it a 4th season and it is glorious. House I watch and had no worries about it getting renewed. Mad Men I didn’t either.

All the comedies I watch on occasion like The Office, 30 Rock, etc. could come and go and it wouldn’t bother me. I take TV much more seriously now and watch really good dramas mostly like Six Feet Under, Breaking Bad, House, Fringe, Lost, etc. Something with actual depth rather than idiot box shows. This year my shows all got renewed and things are good. My online it degree is going to have to wait another year .

When a celebrity, or public figure gets a boost in her features such as Bristol Palin just got you immediately have to assume that it was plastic surgery. According to her, the jaw surgery she had was a corrective medical surgery to fix the alignment of her jaw.

Best known now for her run on “Dancing With the Stars”, the ex-VP candidate’s daughter is riding a wave of her own fame. After her run on DWtS she has become pretty popular. Her new look may make her even more popular though. Just look at the difference between her before (right) and After (left) pics from her jaw surgery:

It’s not like anyone that ever looked at Arnold would think he was a good husband. The guy clearly was a horn dog and likely cheated on her dozens of times a year. That they decided to get divorced after 25 years is probably more shocking than her just staying with him.

Of course she will be paid for and have her own life now where she doesn’t have to pretend that she is in love with the roider. The only funny part of this story is that she actually went on YOUTUBE of all places to ask for advice. I’ll just post a link here since the comments are what you really want to see.

The very first one I saw quoted made me laugh out loud:

“I hope for you and your children that you can have some privacy during the midst of this difficult time in your marriage,” one said.

Ummm…she just posted a video about it on Youtube and asked for advice from idiots. I wonder what the life insurance rates would be for someone with that intelligence.

Penn, who is suprising to me only 50 years old, attended the Correspondents Dinner yesterday with the 27 year old Scarlett Johansson. Talk about a catch.

I am actually kind of shocked that he is only 50 years old. Seems like he has been around since the 70s or something,b ut I guess I am older than I thought, or he was a lot younger in those 80s movies than I thought. Oh well. I guess cheap printing isn’t a concern of his anytime soon.

It has been nearly 10 years since our military has gone out to hunt for Osama Bin Laden. On May 1, 2011 President Obama officially announced that we had found and killed him.

Known by all as the mastermind behind the September 11 attacks int he U.S., Bin Laden has been our #1 Most Wanted for over 9 years. He has repeatedly hidden from us, and was finally found in Pakistan living, if you can believe it, a mansion.

So he was living it up was he? Guess he wasn’t too worried and didn’t have under eye dark circles.

U.S. officials have taken custody of bin Laden’s body, Obama said. No Americans were harmed in the operation, he added.

If you are watching the news right now you see that people have taken to the streets to celebrate the news. A large crowd has gathered in front of the White house.

America **** Yeah!
