The Wealth Expo

Posted on October 11th, 2007 in sponsored post by Sir Post A Lot

On Friday, October 19th, 2007 in New York there will be a Wealth Expo that is there to teach you how to build your own wealth. This Expo will be sponsored by “MyWallSt.net: Your Financial Social Network”.

This is a three day event that covers an enormous amount of information. The Keynote Speaker at the even will be Jean Chatzky. Chatzky, is an award winning journalist, motivational speaker, and a best-selling author that has dedicated her work to helping those that have a serious problem. They have too much debt! Pretty common problem I would say, but important to learn strategies to combat yours none the less.

One of the more interesting sessions that will be going on, at least to me anyways, is entitled: Asset Optimization, “Tax Free Wealth Accumulation”. Why this is important to me is that I used to work as a financial planner. One of the biggest things that I tried to focus on with clients was to help them build wealth by saving a lot of taxes. There is money, and then there is tax-free money. It is an important issue to me that people learn how to maximize their investments not only from market gains, interest, etc, but to do it in a way that they aren’t losing a ton of it in taxes. Since this subject is so dear to me I always find any discussion on the issue to be of interest. I can’t claim to know it all, so if someone were to give me some knowledge that will help me save some more tax money and build more wealth I am going to listen.

The event will last three days and the days will run as followed:

Friday, 10/19: 1 p.m.-6:30 p.m. EDT w/ a cocktail hour to follow

Saturday, 10/20: 9 a.m.-6:30 p.m. EDT w/ a cocktail hour to follow

Sunday, 10/21: 9 a.m.-4 p.m. EDT (no cocktail hour)

For more information on this event, please go to Wealth Expo and see the entire list of sessions available to help build your wealth.

Spreading Gossip to the World

Posted on September 17th, 2007 in sponsored post by Sir Post A Lot

Why else would you have a blog other than to spread the word about every crazy thing you have heard? I know that the only reason I have one is so that I can share tidbits about silly celebrity happenings, and maybe even my neighbors if I am in that sort of mood. This is exactly what Gossip Girl on The CW is trying to achieve as well. Gossip, gossip, and more gossip.

Who, or what is Gossip Girl? Now I could explain it to you and ruin the experience of looking at the handy widget I have placed at the bottom of this post, or going to the link I provided above which has video you can watch about it, but I don’t think I will do that to you. I want you to try and guess what “Gossip Girl” is. Then go and look and see if you are correct. Is it a blog? A giant robot that is going to try and take over the world? A girl that spreads gossip (now that would probably make a lot of sense wouldn’t it?)? Let’s just say that whatever it is, it is aesthetically pleasing to the eye. So take a look at the widget below, and copy it to your blog if you desire, and watch all about it in the link above. Just know this. You will want to know before September 19th so get to it.

Remote PC Access

Posted on July 19th, 2007 in sponsored post by Sir Post A Lot

Getting the information from your various computers has never been easier. With remote access to your home, business, and office PCs you no longer have to go into work to get that file you forgot.

RemotePC is a solution that is perfect for small business owners. Like most small business owners I do a lot of my work from home. At times I may need something on one of my office computers, but I would have to drive to the office to get it if it was forgotten. With the advancement in technology there is no need for me to make that 20 minute drive just to pick up a file I need at home. I can get it right now, with out driving anywhere, and increase my productivity.

It just keeps me at home more, and allows me to get more done when I need it done with out having to drive all over the place. RemotePC is compatible with Windows Vista already so there is no need to worry about any issues there. The cost is as little as $4.95 a month which really is nothing considering that it probably would cost me almost that just to drive to my office and back in one shot.

Virtual Travel Planning

Posted on July 13th, 2007 in sponsored post by Sir Post A Lot

You ever just want to get away so bad that you start to look at places to go just for the heck of it? Well i did today so I just went and randomly picked a place to look at. Coincidently the place I landed on was Amsterdam. Ha! Sounds good to me ;).

So I went to this site and started planning my trip and picking what Amsterdam Hotels I would stay at. The site has them listed by class so I looked at what was there. I wasn’t going to go cheap, but one of the places was only $74 a night and a 4 star hotel. How can you go wrong at that price? That was my pick. Schiphol A4. Close to the airport and near areas for the “leisure” guest.

Now I’m not sure about you, but once I hit upon Amsterdam I pretty much knew how this vacation was going to end up. Me stumbling from hash bar to has bar and partying for the whole time I’m there. So the first thing I looked at was for sure “Nightlife”. 3 pages of party spots listed on that site. Guess I have my work cut out for me. Hopefully I don’t pass out anywhere.

Check that site out anyways. Nice set up. Breaks down every aspect of a real trip from lodging, flights, and fun places to visit. Searchable based on any destination and will give you local information for anywhere you may want to travel.
