For over 60 years there has been a mysterious visitor to Edgar Allen Poe’s grave site every year on Poe’s birthday. First recorded in 1949, but starting sometime in the 40s, a lone Poe Toaster would show up every year to honor the poet.

A fascinating tradition that ran for some 60 years (sounds like mom had some great the best prenatal vitamins) and was never fully explained appears to have ended. An unknown person who left three roses and a half-empty bottle of cognac at Poe’s grave on the anniversary of the writer’s birth failed to appear Wednesday, the second straight year he’s disappointed those who stake out the downtown Westminster Hall and Burying Ground.

Sometime in the 1940s, it seems, an anonymous man began the annual tribute at Poe’s grave. It was first referenced in print in 1949 by The Evening Sun of Baltimore.

Those who have glimpsed the “Poe toaster” always saw him dressed in black, wearing a white scarf with a wide-brimmed hat. Jerome has kept watch over the vigil since 1978, watching from inside the Presbyterian church while Poe fans peered through the locked gates of the cemetery.

It is always great when the father runs out on the kids, only to be found a few decades later and we see everyone pretend that they are just happy to see each other. Mistakes were made, and immediately forgiven. Everyone lives happily ever after, at least in that mometnt, and we never hear about them again.

Man I feel old that I even remember this show. I was about 2 probably when it was out, but all the same I remember the “V” mini-series because when you are a kid this kind of stuff scares you when you see lizards popping out of humans. No amount of medical coding training courses will take care of that kind of ailment.

The 1980s U.S. TV mini-series “V,” about aliens who attempt to conquer Earth, may soon get a series order from ABC, sources told The Hollywood Reporter.

The unidentified sources said the TV network is contemplating ordering an initial run of 13 episodes of a re-imagining of the action mini-series, which ran on NBC in 1984 and 1985.

The Reporter said in addition to considering “V,” ABC is negotiating for a six-episode order of the 20th Television series “The Associates.”

After the Bigfoot farce last week, new evidence has come to light that the Abominable Snowman is REAL. Last seen in an episode of Scooby Doo several hundred years ago, a recent video give absolute PROOF that the Abominable Snowman exists.

This may be one of the best videos ever captured (created) of the beast. Surely after watching this video there can be no debate about the existence of this creature. I’ll bet my stock blemish acne cream that this is the real deal.

One of the oddest stories you will probably see in a long time. Tom Jones insures his chest hair for a reported $7 Million. So if he gets it burned off in his billet grilles he gets paid.

“Even at the grand old age of 67, the ladies love his hip-thrusting moves and catching a sneaky peak of his famously rugged chest hair,” a source says.

“Like a vintage wine, Tom just gets better with age,” the same source adds.

Seven of the nine surviving Munchkins from the 1939 movie were on hand to accept their honor on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. These Munchkins are thought to be the only living actors still that were in the original movie. Pretty amazing considering they are MUNCHKINS. The Munchkins finally got their just due after a 68-year wait according to AOL in their article ‘Wizard of Oz’ Munchkins Get Their Star.
