Jimmy McMillan, who has been seen all over, including being portrayed on Saturday Night Live with his claims of “Rent is too Damn High!” may be getting evicted from his rent controlled apartment in Manhattan.

McMillan’s landlord is claiming that McMillan and his cpu cart are no longer living in the apartment so he should be evicted.

According to the NY Post, Jimmy said after court that he is temporarily living in a Brooklyn apartment to give his son (who lives with him in Manhattan) a chance with a lady.

In Jimmy’s words … “I want a grandkid.” LOL

Being a bit under the weather I took the opportunity to lay in bed and watch a ton of TV that I had never watched before. New shows that I didn’t jump on the bandwagon with at their start, but felt it was time to see what all the fuss was about.

If any of you are like me and fans of dramas on TV rather than comedy and reality brainspew you may do similar in watching several episodes in a row in a day. When I am sick I may watch an entire season of a short season show (12-13 episodes from cable series). I actually watched 3 shows up to date in the last 14 days. Mostly during the time I was sick. I wonder how these eyelash growth products fare against laying in bed for 4 days .

First show I jumped on was Boardwalk Empire. One of the most critically acclaimed shows, and actually still running in Season 2 as we speak with a few more episodes left. Brilliant show with an amazing cast and characters. I actually can’t think of a character I am not interested in.

For those of you that know nothing of the show it is based in the prohibition days of America in the early 1900s. The lead is Nucky Thompson played by Steve Buscemi. He rules Atlantic City controlling all the flow of illegal booze, and everything else. He plays a role like a mobster, but is not underground. He holds public office and runs the city by networking the hell out of things.

Surprising to me Al Capone as a young idiot, and Lucky Luciano are also portrayed on the show. I wasn’t expecting any of these guys on the show thinking it was purely fictitious going in, but alas these guys play roles. Al Capone’s portrayal is quite interesting from most I have seen. He’s young and childish. He’s not the legend that is usually shown.

The second show I latched onto was The Borgias, a drama from Showtime. This show is very well directed and produced. My interest in the show was sparked by being somewhat familiar of the family from documentaries and of course the Assassin’s Creed video game series.

The Borgias first season starts with their first acquiring the position of Pope in the Catholic church through less than ethical means. The Catholic church politics of those times has always been interesting to me. Completely unethical, and even coming to murder to achieve the ultimate power that the Pope holds. God bless religion eh?

Lastly, and probably most fortunate, I saved my favorite for last. Game of Thrones. OF the 3 shows this might be the one that I was most disappointed when it ended. Not because it ended badly, but because it was so freakin’ awesome.

This is another show that reminds me a bit of a video game series. Dragon Age, and in some ways Elder Scrolls. Some of the stories from those games are similar to the actual show. Especially Dragon Age: Origins in my opinion with the Grey Wardens and the whole dragon thing.

Game of Thrones is epic in scale with dozens of characters to keep tabs on. Families fighting for the crown like all crowns are won. With dirty secrets and backstabbing. This show is too good to spoil at all. All I will say is that honor is not a quality that wins the Game of Thrones. Now I have to wait until APRIL to see it again.

Highly recommend all 3 shows.

Like I said earlier there is no better way to make your woman the center of attention than to send her flowers at work. While most guys send them during major holidays like Valentine’s Day, or for Birthdays, I tend to be a little bit different.

You ever notice your lady friend having a bad morning? You know where she feels flustered and in a hurry? Like everything is just going wrong, she can’t get her hair right, or she doesn’t “feel” good? Those are the days you send flowers friend. While they expect them on the major days, these days are the ones that show you really care. They are having a bad day. You should notice this, and you should do what you can to make them feel better. Sending them flowers and a card is exactly how to make them feel better.

You have never done this before? Shame on you. Next time you see her having a bad day go online and get some Maimi flowers delivered to her straight away. This is how you REALLY impress her.

It may still be a few months away, but I noticed you can get some pretty good deals at places like vday.com roses that you should bookmark for later. Obviously, the most surefire gift on Valentine’s Day is a bouquet of roses. It’s the base gift for every lady that you MUST send to work. You have to make sure everyone she works with sees that you are the man. It may not even be the roses that matter so much, but it certainly is the flower that is best to send.

That site will be ready to roll by then and they will have some huge deals so hold onto it for a while.

Hell no I’m not talking about his music. It’s pop trash although I do have some respect for the kid and all the crap people give him. I just don’t care for his music, and don’t necessarily find him entertaining in the least. He just has so many haters it saddens me to read about him, or see others talkinn about him at all. When his movie came out the insanity on IMDb made me lose more hope for humanity than I think I ever have.

Anyways, back to the subject at hand. Bieber is going to perform a DNA test to publicly prove that he is not the father of some random woman named Mariah Yeater.Don’t even know if he banged her and don’t care. It’s unlikely he did, but she claims that he is the father of her baby.

Bieber and his lawyers said he will perform the test and then sue her for the claims. I think a TMZ comment said it best with:

“Good for him. Maybe this will teach a couple more women out there that a baby isn’t a weapon or a bargaining chip.”

Guessing that Ms. Yeater won’t be getting any invitationbox.com holiday cards from Biebs.

I like to dress kind of ladylike, but I also love to put in some edge every now and then too. It just balances everything out and keeps me from looking too prim and proper. Besides the edgy stuff probably goes more with my personality anyway. I’m always on the hunt for the next great purse and I’m constantly shopping online for one. Even though I don’t really buy things most of the time when I’m online shopping, I’ve found a couple of really cute purses recently.

The last time I was doinga bit of online shopping, I ran across some info on tv internet bundles. After I looked through it a litlte bit I decided to change over my home service to one of the bundles that was on there.

The one that I did end up buying, I found from Urban Outfitters. I really love their balance of different trends on their purses. I found oen that was a pretty simple silhouette but then it has some leather straps on it that have chains with them. It really was perfect for exactly what I was looking for.

The girl that has gotten away with mocking the courts at every turn continues to do so after getting her 25234234th chance at freedom.

Lohan was scheduled to begin her community service today at the MORGUE. Obvious jokes are obvious. No need for adult halloween costumes, etc. etc.

Lohan was supposed to arrive at 8 a.m. for an orientation session but arrived 40 minutes late, coroner’s office spokesman Craig Harvey said. The actress was told to try again Friday, only at 7 a.m., he said. Another couple of days and she can just go straight there from the party.

Steve Honig, Lohan’s spokesman, said in a statement that the actress was late because she didn’t know which entrance to report to “and confusion caused by the media waiting for her arrival.”

Awesome excuse. The media was probably telling her how to gt there. At least they had some use. Doesn’t exactly make any sense to be 40 minutes late obviously from missing a door.

Shouldn’t take you long to remember the guy in this video. The great Michael Winslow from the Police Academy movies. Known for his uncanny ability to make any sound you could ever think of just with his voice.

Just recently saw a video of him that started to trend on Youtube with him looking to have mastered his sound effects even further. First video is a Led Zepplin song with him using his voice not only to sing exactly like Jimmy Page, but to play guitar like Robert Plant.

Then I tossed in an older video of him doing Jimi Hendrix National Anthem.

Awesome. I’ve always been shocked that this guy wasn’t more successful.

The company that had it all. Knocking out Blockbuster with their mail order DVD services, and being the first real movie streaming service. They were the best gig in town for a long time. Then they decided to start messing with what works.

The surprise reversal, coming three weeks after the plan was disclosed, follows the company’s unpopular 60% price hike in July for subscribers who watch both DVDs and online video.

The changes led the Los Gatos, Calif., company to predict it would lose 600,000 U.S. subscribers for the third quarter, instead of gaining as many as 400,000 as it previously forecasted.

Basically they realized that beating a steel drum with the new ridiculous Qwickster name was stupid, and that people aren’t happy watching movies from the 70s and 80s streaming all the time.

Netflix basically said they screwed up and made the wrong call with the switch. At least they have that going for them.
